Kwanzaa means "first" in Swahili and signifies the first fruits of the harvest. In 1966, Maulana Ron Karenga adopted the basic principles of the harvest celebrations in Africa to create the observance of Kwanzaa. From December 26 to January 1, many people of African descent celebrate Kwanzaa.

The seven principles of Kwanzaa are: Umoja, Kujichagulia, Ujima, Ujamaa, Nia, Kuumba and Imani.

This sweet track is "Ujima", for the third principle of Kwanzaa. Meaning "collective work and responsibility," this principle is celebrated by individuals finding a task and working on it together. It can be done in the home or for the community. This track is perfect for working on the task, or (relax, chill, meditate, sleep) after. Enjoy!
