Ujamaa Kwanzaa Instrumentals
Kwanzaa means "first" in Swahili and signifies the first fruits of the harvest. In 1966, Maulana Ron Karenga adopted the basic principles of the harvest celebrations in Africa to create the observance of Kwanzaa. From December 26 to January 1, many people of African descent celebrate Kwanzaa.
The seven principles of Kwanzaa are: Umoja, Kujichagulia, Ujima, Ujamaa, Nia, Kuumba and Imani.
This sweet track, "Ujamaa" is the fourth principle of Kwanzaa. Meaning "Cooperative Economics", this principle is about those of African descent building, maintaining and supporting Black Businesses. Listen to this track while working on your business plan, supporting a local black business or after a hard day of work (relax, chill, meditate, sleep). Enjoy!
