Does Your Circadian Rhythm Need A Tune-up?

Deriving from the Latin phrase, “circa diem” which translates to “around a day,” the Circadian Rhythms are the behavioral, mental and physical changes in the 24 Hour cycles of all living organisms. One of the most important Circadian Rhythms is the sleep-wake cycle. While asleep the body restores itself.

If your Circadian Rhythm isn’t properly aligned (due to life factors such as work shift, traveling to a different time zone) your sleep cycle is effected. You might not get enough sleep, which can lead to other health issues.

Here are a few tips suggested to get your Circadian Rhythm on track:

Reduce Your Exposure To Light - this could mean for many of us not to put away our cellphones at bedtime. The light interferes with our body’s Circadian Rhythm.

Make A Sleep Schedule - If you set a time to go to sleep by every night the Circadian Rhythm in your body will readjust.

Daily Exercise - promotes better sleep which will aid in restoring the body

Relaxation - slows the heart rate, increases blood flow to major muscles and reduces stress.

Here at Urban Sweet Spot, we are all about Relaxation. The beautiful piano instrumental , “Mon Coeur” is a 3 hour track made to aid in relaxation and Circadian Rhythm Reset. If your Circadian Rhythm needs a “tune - up” take a listen. Enjoy and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
