Ayiti Cherie

On January 1, 1804 the island of Saint Domingue was officially independent. One of the leaders of the Haitian Revolution (and first official ruler) Jean- Jacques Dessalines renamed the island it's original Arawak name, Ayiti (Haiti). This day is a very special day for Haitians all over the world as its a celebration for the world's first Black Republic.

"Ayiti Cherie" (Haiti, Darling) is a sweet, ambient, chill track in a Kompa Gouyad/Zouk style. Perfect for relaxing, meditation, yoga etc. or listening to while having some "Soup Joumou." Enjoy and Happy Haitian Independence Day!
