Cheers 2 Women 🥂

Women’s Month (March 1, - March 31) is a month dedicated to highlighted the achievements and contributions women have made in American society.

Once believed to be the weaker sex, women weren’t allowed to vote, hold certain jobs and autonomy on their own bodies. President Jimmy Carter designated the week of March 2-8 as National Women’s Week (it was to coincide with International Women’s Day). In 1995, after numerous proclaimations made by Congress, March officially became Women’s Month.

Once considered the weaker sex, women have come a long way from not having the right to vote, go for certain jobs or autonomy on their own bodies. Cheers to all the women from the past, present and future who are making strides, breaking barriers and creating new spaces for the women of today and the future.

"Gwo Dam" means "Grande Dame" in Haitian Creole. The Grande Dame is the woman who is influential in their circle, whether it be family, work , friends, community etc. To celebrate Women's Month, here is this smooth, mellow, experimental Konpa x Zouk x Kizomba track that is perfect for relaxing, studying, morning or nigh time routine, meditation or yoga. Enjoy!
